      A Bitter Taste of Freedom

      Documentary film screening
      Q & A with Filmmaker Marina Goldovskaya

Acclaimed filmmaker Marina Goldovskaya made this quietly passionate film over 20 years by following and filming her friend Anna Politkovskaya, an investigative journalist and human rights activist killed outside her home in Moscow in 1996 after exposing the truths about the war in Chechnya. The film honors Anna’s sparkling wit and her life of courage and truth-telling in the face of grave danger.
