One incredible night of Rockin' blues with two Grammy Award-Winning guitarists, Buddy Guy and Jonny Lang will perform together live at The Greek Theatre on August 7.

Any discussion of Buddy Guy invariably involves a recitation of his colossal musical resume and hard-earned accolades. He's a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, a chief guitar influence to rock titans like Hendrix, Clapton, Beck, and Vaughan, a pioneer of Chicago's fabled West Side sound, and a living link to that city's halcyon days of electric blues. If that wasn't enough, he has received 6 Grammy Awards, 23 W.C. Handy Blues Awards (the most any artist has received), the Billboard magazine Century Award for distinguished artistic achievement, and the Presidential National Medal of Arts. Rolling Stone has even ranked Guy in the top 30 of its "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time."

Every major guitar player without exception gives a nod to Buddy Guy. With a career spanning over 50 years, he has blazed his trail of energetic blues and blues rock, releasing over 60 albums,' mingling the most deepest of blues with a creative, unpredictable and radical gumbo of the blues, rock, soul and free jazz that morph's at every performance. And there have been many performances.

Grammy winning Jonny Lang is a former prodigy instrumentalist, who topped the Billboard New Artist chart with his first album at age 15. Today he stands as a mature creative force, made more sensitive yet also toughened by life's adventures. Lang has learned what it means to rise above hard times and to find meaning where chaos seemed to rule.

His latest release Turn Around is considered the pivotal album of Jonny Lang's career to date a passage that links the triumphs of his past to the promise of his future. The guitar is still there, whispering sometimes, occasionally even screaming. Now, though, it's just one voice in a chorus of sounds the tight band, the passionate singing, and lyrics that conjure beauty as well as pain and speak the truth, all at the same time.
