      An evening with David Sedaris

Prodigious satirist David Sedaris is a master storyteller and quintessential arbiter of the art of monologue. Sedaris' simple moments from the podium not only delight the throngs of fans and readers who flock to this event annually, but also provide inspiration and insight into the bestselling author's idiosyncratic creative process. The author of bestsellers Barrel Fever, Holidays on Ice and Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk: A Modest Bestiary as well as collections of personal essays Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day, Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, and When You Are Engulfed in Flames, Sedaris' wry observations of the human condition also appear regularly in The New Yorker and have twice been included in The Best American Essays. In this special seasonal return to Royce Hall, CAP UCLA celebrates the 17-year presenter / artist relationship with a no-holds-barred event that is not to be missed.

UCLA student tickets go on sale Monday, September 24.
Supported in part by the Roslyn Holt Swartz and Allan J. Swartz Endowment for the Performing Arts.
