Life-Work Balance: Making Every Minute Count

Come join us in this open forum discussion where we will navigate the questions surrounding work-life balance. If you feel like your days run along and you are finding harder and harder to get everything done, and more importantly, you find yourself longing to get more free time to do the things you love outside of work, this is one discussion you do not want to miss.

There are three primary principles that will be used to guide the discussion:

      1. Getting time to expand (being in the zone) - in the first section of the discussion you will learn how you can match your core values with the work you do, everyday. You will learn to define 'being in the zone' and work through a hands-on exercise to get you to be in it longer.

      2. Prioritizing tasks - in the second section of this 1.5 hours discussion you will be given another hands-on exercise to help you prioritize your schedule according to the answers and insights you gained from the first section of the discussion. This is an activity that will help you organize your day, right away, without the help of an assistant or an expensive software.

      3. Moving from having time to sourcing time - we will close the discussion by looking at how our relationship to time affects how much of it we 'get.' In the closing discussion you will get a broader understanding of how we often times create invisible boundaries that sets us up against time. To drop this imaginary boundary we need to befriend time, and befriend the parts of us that are fighting the current.

Come prepared to get your calendars organized and your ideas about time challenged. By the end of this 1.5 hour discussion you will leave prepared to tackle your tasks more effectively, making time for all that matters most to you at work and life. This presentation is meant to be an open discussion, so come prepared to participate and get into some valuable hands-on exercises.Instructor: Karen Mozes
