The Pachuco Boogie Show @ The Conga Room

      Live on Stage:

Bio: Hailed as "The Rhythm and Blues Queen of Southern California" Vicky Tafoya has been belting out DooWop, Rock N Roll, Blues and R&B favorites for almost 20 years. Her beautiful voice and tremendous stage presence have left many an audience with their jaw on the floor and wiping tears from their eyes. A wonderful talent to behold, Vicky is one of those rare performers who when you see her, it’s hard to forget her. She'll grab her audience by the neck, fondle them, spin them around, shake 'em up, and then set them down gently. You wont know what the hell hit you! And you’re guaranteed old fashioned down and dirty good time. Over the years she has been able to put great backing musicians behind her and has been doing her thing here there, and everywhere all around So-Cal and the world. Vicky’s talent has earned her invitations to play some of the biggest roots music Festivals in the world, including numerous performances at the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly weekender, The Screamin' Weekender in Spain, The 1950' Rockin' Fest in Green Bay, The Hootenanny Festival in So-cal, as well as the great Rhythm Riot in England, From which she preformed again in 2008. Vicky has shared the stage with and gained the admiration and respect of countless Doo Wop and Rhythm and Blues legends throughout her musical career. Combine the fire and vocal strength of the Rhythm & Blues and Doo Wop greats of the 50's and 60's and the subtlety of the 40's diva's, and you have Ms. Tafoya. When you see her, you're in for the unique kind of soulful performing that is all too rare nowadays. So if you get the chance to see Vicky Tafoya, don’t miss out. A talent like this doesn’t come around too often, and it will be a show you wont soon forget! In 2004, her love of Doo Wop brought her together with Royal Crown Revue front man Eddie Nichols to form an Acappella Doo Wop quartet, The Redondos, and the group recorded an amazing self-titled debut CD released in 2006.
