      EVENT DETAILS
Richard Baldwin— The Globotics Upheaval: Globalization, Robotics, and the Future of Work

Richard Baldwin, one of the world's leading globalization experts, will discuss how the globalization of automation, AI, and robotics is giving way to a ‘globotics’ upheaval. The inhuman speed of the transformation threatens to overwhelm our capacity to adapt and will disrupt the lives of millions of workers. Baldwin will discuss how people can prepare for the oncoming wave of an advanced robotic workforce and the global laws that need to be put in place to protect us in the Wild West of the future. Baldwin will be joined in conversation by moderator August Bradley, Producer and Host of MIND & MACHINE.

Richard Baldwin is Professor of International Economics at the Graduate Institute (Geneva), and Founder of VoxEU.org. He advises governments and international organizations around the world on globalization and trade policy issues, having served as a Senior Staff Economist for President George Bush's Council of Economic Advisors. His next book is The Globotics Upheaval: Globalization, Robotics and the Future of Work.

August Bradley is the Producer and Host of MIND & MACHINE, a popular podcast and talk show on YouTube, with people at the forefront of transformational technologies and futurist ideas. Bradley is also a consultant with YearZero, where he does strategy, media, marketing, and business development for radically innovative tech ventures. He also helps traditional companies initiate disruptive tech advantages in their fields, before they're disrupted by others. In this capacity he works with Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, AR/VR, IoT, Robotics, Blockchain, 3D Printing, and Sensor-Tech.

Please reserve no later than 12:00 pm on Friday, February 8. Cancellations must be made by 12:00 pm on Friday, February 8 in order to receive a refund.
