      EVENT DETAILS
The Thing in the Labyrinth horror book club with Kathryn E. McGee

This horror book club meets after hours in the center of our labyrinth, warmed only by the flickering flames of a haunted chandelier we found in Uncle Vincent's attic. Bad things happen almost never.   Editors Leslie Klinger and Lisa Morton (6 Bram Stoker awards!) present Ghost Stories: Classic Tales of Horror and Suspense, a collection of the stories that made the genre: Dickens, Wharton, Poe, James, etc.. These are the best ghost stories in English literature.   HOW IT WORKS: All book clubs require a ticket, and include the book, snacks/bevs, and a dedicated moderator - to keep the discussion on track! All clubs meet at The Last Bookstore. You can get your ticket one of two ways: either thru the link on this page (*we'll ship the book to you!) - OR buy your ticket in the store, just look for our book club display (near the book tunnel). *If you choose the on-line option (the one with shipping), please send a mailing addy to larkin.lastbookstore@gmail.com -- Do not try to pick up the book in person. And hey - if you're worried about being downtown at the witching hours of the night - please know that the club all leaves together. If you'd like an escort to where you parked after the meeting, it's no problem at all - just let us know.   Kathryn E. McGee’s horror stories have appeared in Gamut Magazine and anthologies including Dead Bait 4, Horror Library Volume 6, Cemetery Riots and Winter Horror Days. She has an MFA in creative writing from UC Riverside Palm Desert and is a member of the Horror Writers Association. She is also co-author of DTLA/37: Downtown Los Angeles in Thirty-seven Stories. For more information, please visit www.kathrynemcgee.com.
