      The Astrological Grimoire (Chronicle Books)

      The Astrological Grimoire is an illustrated interactive guide and workbook that uses the astrological calendar as a framework for considering introspection and self-discovery, creative practices, connecting with your intuition, and more.

      Join Shewolfe and Beatrix in conversation with the interdisciplinary artist and author Yumi Sakugawa for an evening of exploration and discussion on intuition, rituals, creativity, astrology, writing, and more. Yumi will offer a brief guided meditation to start off the event. 

      Helen Shewolfe Tseng is an interdisciplinary artist and designer living and working in an expanding universe. Since 2014, she has co-hosted Astral Projection Radio Hour on BFF.fm, and she is the co-author and illustrator of The Astrological Grimoire. Helen is a 2018-19 YBCA Fellow and the 2019 Designer in Residence at the Headlands Center for the Arts. shewolfe.co @wolfchirp

      Melissa Graeber is a writer, editor, and former long-time teacher of wayward teens. She is the co-host of Astral Projection Radio Hour on BFF.fm, and co-author of the book The Astrological Grimoire, recently published by Chronicle Books. She has also had fiction and nonfiction work published by Medium, Sparkle and Blink, and the New Inquiry, and has been invited to read her work at events for The Believer, Quiet Lightning, and Red Light Lit.

      Yumi Sakugawa is an Ignatz Award-nominated interdisciplinary artist and the author of I Think I Am in Friend-Love with You, Your Illustrated Guide to Becoming One with the Universe, There is No Right Way to Meditate, and The Little Book of Life Hacks: How to Make Your Life Happier, Healthier, and More Beautiful. A graduate from the fine art program of University of California, Los Angeles (2007), she has also exhibited multimedia exhibitions at the Japanese American National Museum, the Smithsonian Arts & Industries Building, and the Peabody Essex Museum. Her short comic stories have been selected as Notable Comics of 2012 and 2013 by the Best American Comics anthology editors (Houghton Mufflin Harcourt), and her comic works have also been published in Bitch, The Believer, The Best American Nonrequired Reading 2014, The Rumpus, BuzzFeed, DUM DUM Zine, and other publications. She lives in Los Angeles.
